Structure Fire and Engine Transfer in West Caln Township

At 4:00PM on Friday, July 10, Station 4-9 was dispatched to assist Chester County Stations 34 (Martin’s Corner), 35 (Wagontown), and 33 (Honey Brook) on a structure fire in the 3100 block of Compass Road in the Cains section of West Caln Township, Chester County.\

Chester County 911 was reporting a fire that started on the floor and worked its way into the walls of the building. Arriving units found a light smoke condition, with the fire knocked.\
\
The responding Station 4-9 units were all canceled, with the exception of Engine 4-9-1, which was redirected to transfer to Station 34, to cover 34’s response area in case of another emergency.\
\
Fortunately, no other calls for service were received, and Engine 4-9-1 was released from the standby and returned to station at 6:11 PM.
