At 2:46 PM on Thursday, October 4, The Honey Brook Fire Company (Station 33) was dispatched to the 7200 block of Division Highway (Route 322) in Salisbury Township for a vehicle accident involving entrapment and fire. Two trash trucks collided in front of the Lanchester Landfill, with one on its side over the embankment.\

Honey Brook’s ambulance was already on an emergency call, so both ambulances from New Holland and Ambulance 4-9 were dispatched at 2:48 and 2:50, respectively, to assist due to the amount of injuries that were involved. \

Station 33 units arrived with the fire out, but confirming the entrapment in one truck. Crews from Honey Brook and Twin Valley FD Rescue 69 went to work caring for the patients, and extricating the trapped driver.\
\
Fire Police from Station 4-9 were dispatched at 3:04 to close the roadway down at South Churchtown Road and divert traffic from the scene.\
\
Ambulance 4-9 transported their patient to a local hospital.\
\
The final units cleared the scene around 5 PM\
