At 12:50PM on Sunday, February 20, Station 4-9 Fire & EMS, along with Ambulance 33-2 and Medic 9, was dispatched for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Red Hill and Narvon Roads in Salisbury Township.\

Lancaster County 911 advised of an overturned buggy with possibly three patients. With this information, Ambulance 33-2 requested the dispatch of Ambulance 33-1 to the scene. \

Ambulance 33-2 and Ambulance 33-1 were the first two arriving units on the scene and began patient care. Engine 4-9-1 arrived on the scene and controlled scene hazards and also assisted the EMS units with manpower. One patient was transported to a local hospital by Ambulance 33-2 and Medic 9 for treatment of her injuries. Fortunately, the rest of the buggy’s occupants were not injured. Due to no other patients, Ambulance 4-9 and Ambulance 33-1 returned to their respective stations.\

Station 4-9 Fire Police closed Red Hill Road between Narvon and Mast Roads during the incident, which was investigated by the PA State Police.\
