High speed collision in Compass

At 9:21PM on Friday, June 11, Station 4-9 Fire & EMS, along with Medic 6, was dispatched to the 400 block of Compass Road in the Compass section of Salisbury Township for a vehicle accident. \

Upon response, units were advised by Lancaster County 911 of a vehicle hitting a fence and then a parked truck. Units arrived to find a Porsche Boxter versus a GMC work truck, with an extensive debris field. The Porsche left the roadway, crashed through a fence, then slid through a yard, a driveway, another yard, another fence, and finally crashing into the parked unoccupied truck turning it approximately 120 degrees, before both vehicles came to rest in a neighboring school yard.\

Engine 4-9-1 controlled scene hazards, while Ambulance 4-9 and Medic 6 treated the driver of the Porsche, transporting him to the hospital for further treatment. \

Squad 4-9 and Station 4-9 Fire Police closed Compass Road between Buena Vista Road and Route 340 in Salisbury and West Caln Townships during the incident. The Pennsylvania State Police is investigating the incident. Blanks Towing removed the Porsche from the scene. The trucks owner will remove the truck at a later time.\
