2 alarm barn fire in Leacock Township

At 1:38PM on the afternoon of Monday, August 31, Station 4-9 was dispatched to assist the Intercourse Fire Company (Station 4-4) on a working barn fire in the 000 block of New Holland Road in Leacock Township. Engine 4-9-1, Engine 4-9-2, and Tanker 4-9 all rapidly responded within minutes.\

Chief 4-4 (Diener) was approximately one mile out from the scene, with smoke visible and requested the second alarm be struck. \

At 1:46 Ambulance 4-9 was also dispatched to assist. \
\
Command 4-4 placed the fire under control at 3:25PM; after assisting with overhaul and cleanup, the final 4-9 units cleared the scene at 5:49PM.\
