\

\

\
A note of interest, to show what the difference of a few feet can make…In a very short distance of Peters Road four townships (Salisbury, Earl, East Earl, and Leacock) meet. Upon arrival of the responding units, an updated address just east of Redwell Road was given to Lancaster County 911 who verified the address to be in Earl Township. This placed the incident in the response area of the New Holland Police Department, and the Liberty Fire Company of New Holland (Station 3-9). Chief 3-9 (L. Martin) was advised of the situation by Lancaster County 911. Chief Martin advised to let Station 4-9 handle the incident. Upon arrival and investigation by the New Holland Police, it was determined that the accident actually occured in Leacock Township, placing the incident back in the jurisdiction of the State Police, and the Intercourse Fire Company (Station 4-4). By this time, a rollback from Martin’s Towing in New Holland arrived on the scene, and removed the vehicle from the scene, as the State Police were investigating.\
\
Station 4-9 Fire Police closed Peters Road between Redwell Rd. and Snake Lane for the duration of the incident. The final units cleared the scene at 11:45 PM.\
