Two accident Sunday

At 1:32PM on Sunday, June 6, Station 4-9 Fire & EMS, along with Medic 9, was dispatched to the 300 block of White Horse Road (Route 897) in Salisbury Township for a vehicle accident involving a horse and buggy. \

Lancaster County Communications reported a buggy overturned, with one person inside unable to get out; with no other vehicles were involved. Due to the injuries involved, Engine 4-9-1’s crew removed the roof from the buggy to remove the injured woman. Ambulance 4-9 and Medic 9 transported the patient to a local trauma center for treatment of their injuries.\

Station 4-9 Fire Police and Squad 4-9 closed White Horse Road between Old Philadelphia Pike and Buena Vista Road during the incident. Final units cleared the scene at 1:57 PM.\

At 6:00PM, Station 4-9 Fire & EMS, Ambulance 5-2-1, and Medic 9 were dispatched to Old Philadelphia Pike and Cambridge Road in White Horse for a vehicle accident. The collision involved two vehicles, and upon assessment by EMS, all persons involved refused transport to a hospital; Medic 9 and Ambulance 5-2-1 were canceled. Final units cleared the scene at 7:08PM\

Both incidents are under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.\
