At 2:48 PM on Wednesday, June 5, Station 49 was dispatched to the 600 block of Mount Vernon Road in the Limeville section of Salisbury Township for Spill Control.\
\
Units arrived on the scene to find an agricultural field sprayer that had run off the road and snapped off a wheel. A large hydraulic oil spill had occurred as a result. The incident was also found to be in Station 42’s first due, and they were also dispatched to the scene.\
\
Null’s Towing from Cochranville was summoned to the scene and responded with two rotating heavy duty wreckers, their spill containment unit, and a flatbed trailer.\
\
Firefighters from both fire companies and staff from Null’s worked together to contain and clean up the spill.\
\
Null’s then placed both rotators in service, and lifted the sprayer on the flatbed for transport from the scene to be repaired at Hoobers, Inc.\
\
The incident was investigated by the PA State Police.\
\
The final units cleared the scene shortly before 6PM.\
