At 12:21 PM on Saturday, February 6, Station 49 Fire & EMS were dispatched to assist the Gap Fire Company (Station 42) on an outbuilding fire in the 600 block of Mount Vernon Road in Salisbury Township.
Lancaster County Communications was reporting a brush fire, involving a corn crib and trees. Quarryville Deputy Chief 57 (Cox), whom was in the area, reported a well involved corn crib, with no exposure issues. Chief 42 (Wenger) scaled back the response to units from Gap and White Horse.
The fire was placed under control several minutes later, with the final units clearing the scene at 1:02 PM.
