At 5:02 PM on Monday, November 18, Station 49 was dispatched to the intersection of Sandmine and Paes Road in Salisbury Township for a vehicle fire.
Lancaster County Communications reported that the caller was stating that “the engine is about to burn up, flames beginning to form”
Chief 49 (R. Gossert) arrived on the scene and reported a working engine compartment fire.
Engine 49-1 arrived and deployed the bumper line and extinguished the fire.
Units cleared the scene at 5:49 PM.
