At 8:45PM on Monday, February 10, Station 49, along with units from Honey Brook, Churchtown, and Garden Spot were dispatched to the 700 block of Red Hill Road in Salisbury Township for a dwelling fire.
As the alarm was received in the closing minutes of our monthly business meeting, all of the 49 units responded within a couple of minutes.
Lancaster County Communications was advising of a fire in the dwelling that had originated in the chimney area but had spread to the roof.
Chief 49 (R. Gossert) arrived on the scene with a working fire.
Fire was placed under control at 9:29PM, with the final units clearing the scene at 10:53PM.
Thanks To Engine 42-2 for covering our station while we were at the fire.
