Our New Building 2025 Donation Drive Has Started!!!

The members of the White Horse Fire Company would like to thank the community for the continued support that has been shown to the Fire Company in the past year through financial contributions and helping with and supporting our fundraisers.

The White Horse Fire Company consists of 2 engines, 1 tanker, 1 squad, and 2 ambulances. The third ambulance is ordered and expected to arrive later this year. At this time there is no room to store it inside.

The Fire Company responded to 191 calls in 2024. The average response time for all apparatus was slightly over two minutes. Total man hours on calls were 1629. Total training was 1420 hours. All of our members are volunteer and received no pay for the services that they provided.

We are always looking for new active members to join the company. Feel free to stop at the station on any Monday evening. The monthly meeting is held on second Monday and training on most of the other Mondays. Any questions you may leave a message at the station at 717-768-3454. Community members are welcome to help with the fund raisers as well as the building project. This project is expected to start later this summer and is unknown how long it will take. The large project for this year is the addition to the fire station. The current fire engine bays are tight with gear in between the trucks which is not safe. The plan is to build an addition to the south of the existing station. All fire apparatus would be in the new 4 bay station. With over 6000 sq. ft. that will be almost double the space we currently have. The current kitchen and dining room would be totally remodeled.

The dining room would have 3000 sq. ft. and could be rented out for meetings and banquets.
The current engine bays will be remodeled for the EMS division. This will allow them to store all three ambulances inside. Sleeping quarters would be added for a crew or two stay overnight. The call amount has doubled the last 20 years to about 900 per year.
This will only be possible because of the generous donations that we receive from the community.

The White Horse Fire Company is 100% volunteer. Donations and fundraisers are our primary source of income.
