Happy Birthday Ross!!!
By Safety Officer Chris Eno
February 18, 2007
On the afternoon of February 18, a 90th birthday drop in social was held at the station for Past Fire Chief L. Ross Parmer. Ross has been a very faithful and active member of the company since 1942, having served as Fire Chief from 1946 to 1998, except for 1975, '76, and '77, when he was ill. He was Assistant Fire Chief during those 3 years. He still is a member of the Fire Police and was appointed as Fire Chief Emertius in 1999.
Representatives from the Honey Brook, Intercourse, Blue Ball, Lampeter, and Wagontown fire companies were present. All present had the chance to eat cake and ice cream and to socialize with Ross and his wife Lil about the days gone by. A large birthday card was signed by all whom attended.
The company also held a small party for Ross at the end of the monthly company business meeting on Monday February 12.
The Officers and Members of the Fire Company wish Ross all the best!

We couldn't find any "Happy 90th Birthday" balloons, so we had to improvise.
