The White Horse Fire Company & Ambulance is a 100% volunteer organization that relies on the generosity of our community to keep us operating.
We do not receive any funding from dedicated fire or EMS taxes.
All of our operating expenses, such as gas, electric & phone bills, general maintenance, and capital expenditures for things fire apparatus, ambulances, and equipment are generated by donations. We realize that residents and businesses are often on a tight budget, and we are extremely appreciative of what you can donate to us.
Annually, we send out a notice for donations for the Fire Company Fund Drive, as well as an Ambulance Fund Drive donation. The two fund drives are sent at two different times of the year.
Please remember that your donations are tax deductible.
The Fire Company fund drive is sent to residents and businesses in the Spring of each year. Inside, you will find a letter with current information about the fire company, and what we will use your donations for.
The Ambulance fund drive is sent to residents and businesses during the Summer of each year.
With the Ambulance fund drive, we offer FREE emergency ambulance service to our residents and businesses who return the donation annually. More information about this service is included in the ambulance fund drive mailing.
Simply return the donations using the envelopes provided to you in the mailings.
Please be advised that the Ambulance fund drive does NOT necessarily cover any expenses occurred while under the care of an Advanced Life Support "Medic" Unit, and that the Fire Company fund drive does not cover any Ambulance Transports...
