Condolences to Pomeroy Fire Company

It is with deep regret that the Pomeroy Fire Company (Chester County Station 29) announces the passing of Chief Doug McGuigan. Doug passed away on Sunday May 25, 2008 after a battle with cancer. Chief McGuigan is a forty-year plus veteran to the fire service and has been a noted figure to the company since his father and two uncles also served as Fire Chiefs to the Pomeroy Fire Co. Doug has served the fire company in the positions of Engineer, Chief Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, Fire Chief, & Trustee. \
