On June 3 & 4, our friends and neighbors at the Kinzer Fire Company (Station 45) hosted the annual Lancaster County Firemen's Association (LCFA) memorial service, convention meeting, and parade in conjunction with their 100th Anniversary.

On Friday evening, the annual LCFA memorial service was held in remembrance of members who have passed away.

Saturday began with a buffet breakfast which was held at the Kinzer Fire Company followed by some fun and games at the fire company site. At 10:30 AM, registration and judging was held at the Paradise Elementary School with parade lineup at the Mennonite Church on Harristown Rd. The parade of apparatus began at 2:00 PM through the village of Kinzer, ending at the Kinzer Fire Company.

At the end of the day, we are pleased to announce that Engine 49-2's crew captured 3rd place in the Engine 2010-present category in the parade, and also captured 1st place in the bucket brigade competition for filling the barrel in 19.08 seconds.

Job well done to Engine 2's crew!

Congrats to Station 45 on a successful weekend, and on the milestone of your 100th Anniversary!
