On the afternoon of Saturday, March 26, Station 49 was dispatched to the 500 block of Sandmine Road in Salisbury Township for a woods fire.

Lancaster County 911 advised the responding units of a fire in the backyard spreading to the woods. Units arrived on location and found the same, rapidly bringing the fire under control in a matter of minutes.

While responding to this fire, Engine 49-2 redirected to a reported tree fire in the 100 block of Cambridge Road in Salisbury Township. Engine 2 arrived in the area with nothing apparent, and a search of the area proved negative.
