At 1:31 PM on Friday September 18, Station 49 Fire & EMS was dispatched to the intersection of Churchtown Road & Route 340 in the Cains section of Salisbury Township for a vehicle accident.

Lancaster County Communications was advising a dump truck with a minivan, with unknown injuries.

Fire units arrived and controlled scene hazards and controlled traffic around the accident scene, while EMS transported one person to a local hospital for treatment.

The incident is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.
