At 2:58PM on Tuesday, August 18, Station 49 Fire & EMS were dispatched to the 5600 block of Old Philadelphia Pike in the village of White Horse for a vehicle accident.

Units arrived to find a horse and buggy accident, in which the horse was spooked by an approaching tractor trailer. The horse broke loose from the buggy and ran to a nearby driveway. Fortunately injuries to the buggy's occupants were minor and no one required further treatment or transport to a hospital.

Units cleared the scene at 4:17PM
