At 10:16 AM on Tuesday, July 7th, Ambulance 49-1 & Squad 49-1, along with Medic 4-40, were dispatched to a farm/business in the 200 block of Springville Road in the Springville section of Salisbury Township for a pedestrian struck.

Lancaster County Communications advised the responding units of a child that was struck by a forklift.

Units arrived on location and, due to the child's injuries, requested that Aeromedical be placed on standby; the request to fly was given a few minutes later.

Engine 49-1 was alerted to set up the landing zone for Jeffstat 3 in a field adjacent to the incident location.

Jeffstat 3 arrived on the scene, and transported the patient to a pediatric trauma center for treatment.

The final 49 units were available at 11:16 AM.
