School Bus accident sends 17 to hospital

At 7:07AM on Thursday, March 19, Ambulance 49-1 was dispatched as part of the initial dispatch to assist the Kinzer Fire Company (Station 45) on a vehicle accident involving mass transit at the intersection of Amish Road and Hensel Road in Salisbury Township.

Lancaster County Communications reported to the responding units of a pick-up truck versus an occupied school bus.

Additional EMS units were dispatched to the scene to assist.

Eventually both drivers and at total of 15 children from the bus were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
