At 3:21 PM on Sunday, November 2, Station 49 and surrounding companies were dispatched to the 5000 block of Old Philadelphia Pike (Route 340) in Salisbury Township for a barn fire. Lancaster County Communications was receiving reports of a small barn with the roof on fire. Information was updated to state that it was a well-involved detached garage with a larger barn and a dwelling as exposures. Units arrived on scene and confirmed a fully involved outbuilding, and commenced fire attack and exposure protection. The fire was placed under control at 4:28 PM and was deemed accidental in nature.
