Passing of past Company President Clair Hamilton

We regret to announce the passing of past Company President Clair C. Hamilton. Clair was our Company President from 1981 to 1990.

We extend our condolences to Clair's family in their time of loss.

Clair's obituary:
"Clair C. Hamilton, age 85 of Gordonville, PA, passed away at the Mt. Joy Hospice Center, on Saturday, July 12, 2014. He was the husband of Betty J. Speece Hamilton with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage on April 16th. He was born in Salisbury Township, son of the late Harry W. & Bertha Caldwell Hamilton. He was a member of Leacock Presbyterian Church of Paradise. Clair worked for L. S. Robinson’s Garage of Kinzers for many years, Sperry New Holland and also was a carriage driver doing tours out of Kitchen Kettle Village. He also did local hauling. He was a member of the Intercourse Gunning Club and was very active with the White Horse Fire and Ambulance. He enjoyed calf roping at Cowtown Rodeo, NJ. He enjoyed being around people, making friends wherever he went.

Surviving besides his wife is a daughter Jean M. wife of Raymond L. Herr of New Holland, 2 grandchildren: Lori wife of Walter Buchert of Lancaster, Christopher husband of Diana Bishop Herr of Bel Air, MD, 6 great grandchildren: Katlyn & Samantha Buchert, Jackson, Carson, Avery & Brielle Herr, sister: Janet C. Hamilton of Kinzers. He was preceded in death by 3 siblings: Kathleen H. Hollinger, Earl C. & Carl C. Hamilton.

Funeral service will take place from the Leacock Presbyterian Church, 3181 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, PA on Thursday, July 17th at 11 a.m., with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Robert Birch will be officiating. Private interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604."
