Two collide in Spring Garden

At 3:33PM on Thursday, April 10, Station 49 was dispatched to the 5200 block of Old Philadelphia Pike in the Spring Garden section of Salisbury Township.

Units arrived on location to find a small vehicle that had sideswiped a cattle truck, which had stopped up the street after the collision.

Engine 49-1 controlled scene hazards and assisted EMS with packaging the patient.

Squad 49-1 assisted with closing Old Philadelphia Pike between Martin and Spring Garden Roads.

Ambulance 49-1, along with Medic 06-6, transported the driver of the car to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The truck driver was not injured.

The incident is under investigation of the Pennsylvania State Police.
