At 9:39AM on Wednesday, January 18, Station 4-9, along with mutual aid, was dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of Red Hill Road in Salisbury Township for a dwelling fire. \

Lancaster County Communications advised of fire showing from the roof, with the residents evacuating.\
\
Deputy 4-9 (Beyer) arrived on the scene with smoke showing from the exterior and on the second floor, and assumed Command 4-9.\
\
Units arrived on the scene and after further investigation found a chimney fire wth extension into the dwelling.\
\
The fire was placed under control at 10:41AM.\
\
The final units cleared the scene at 12:07PM\
\
Thanks to Gap Engine 4-2-2 for transferring to our station for standby during the incident.\
