On Saturday, July 21st, and Sunday July 22nd, the Fire Police assisted the Multiple Sclerosis Society with traffic control at two intersections in Salisbury Township, due to the Society having a fund-raising bike ride that came through the Township.\
\
The ride started Saturday Morning near Perkiomenville in Montgomery County, and ended Saturday evening in Millersville, Lancaster County. On Sunday, the ride kicked off from Millersville and returned to Perkiomenville. A shorter route was also available that started and ended in Honey Brook.\
\
On Saturday, we were asked by the Multiple Sclerosis Society to assist with crossing opposing traffic at the intersection of Diem Road and Route 897, due to a dangerous S-Curve just north of the intersection, and a blind spot at the intersection its self. The Fire Police assisted at Diem Rd. & Rt. 897 from 9 AM to 12:45 PM.\
\
On Sunday, we were asked to assist just down the street at the intersection of Route 897 and Meadville Road, to assist the riders in crossing the opposing traffic on busy Rt. 897. The Fire Police assisted from 8 AM to 1:30 PM.\
\
Over the two days, 7 members of the Fire Police donated 18 man-hours to this worthy cause, and we were glad to be able to assist the Multiple Sclerosis Society with the Bike Ride.
