The Officers and Members of the Salisbury Township Fire Company #1 extend our condolences to our fellow Fire & EMS responders in Chester County, on the sudden death of Firefighter/EMT Christopher P. Reeder, as well as Chris’s family.\

Chris was a responder with the following Fire & EMS Companies in Chester County: Honey Brook, Martins Corner, Glenmoore, Washington Hose-Coatesville, Minquas-Downingtown, Uwchlan Ambulance, and Good Fellowship Ambulance. Chris was also a firefighter with the Ritchie Fire Department in Prince George’s County in Maryland. Chris was also a Pennsylvania EMT Instructor.\

The following is the announcement as it was read over the Chester County Fire Radio:\

“It is with deep regret that the Honey Brook Fire Co. and Martin’s Corner Fire Co. announce the untimely passing of FF/EMT Chris Reeder. Chris was a volunteer FF/EMT with both companies. Chris held various officer positions with the Honey Brook Fire Co. including President, EMS Captain, and EMS Lieutenant. Chris was also a Career EMT with the Uwchlan Ambulance Corps since 2005; Chris was stationed at Martin’s Corner Fire Co..\
The arrangements are as follows:\
Viewing: Friday July 13th from 5pm to 8pm at the MacClain Chamberland Funeral Home in Wagontown. Saturday July 14th from 10am to 11am with a service following at the MacClain Chamberland Funeral Home in Wagontown. After the services is a burial at the Fairview Cemetary in Coatesville.\

“Christopher Paul Reeder of Glenmoore\
\
Christopher Paul Reeder “Chris,” 29, of Glenmoore. died on Monday July 9, 2007. in Lewes, Del.\
\
Born on Dec. 19, 1977, in Chester, he was the loving son of Carl Edward Monhollan and Wendy Lorrain Reeder-Monhollan of Thorndale.\
\
Chris was an active emergency medical technician and firefighter who held the office of president, vice president, EMS lieutenant and EMS captain of the Honey Brook Fire Company, along with being involved with the fire companies of Coatesville, Minquas, Uwchlan Ambulance Company, Martins Corner, Ritchie in Prince Georges County, Md., and Good Fellowship Ambulance.\
\
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his former wife, Stephanie Michelle Reeder of Collegeville; two daughters, Katelyn Nicole Reeder and Danielle Elizabeth Reeder; a sister, Candice Marie Monhollan of Thorndale; and grandparents, Carol and Vernon Reeder of Linwood.\

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 14, at 11 a.m. at the Maclean-Chamberlain Funeral Home Inc.\
\
There will be a time of visitation on Friday, July 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Maclean-Chamberlain Funeral Home Inc. and on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service.\
\
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville on Saturday, July 14, following the service.\
\
To assist with funeral expenses, contributions may be made in his memory to Citadel, 3030 Zinn Road, Thorndale, PA 19372.\
