Full Company assist on Buena Vista Road house fire

At 7:09 AM on Friday, July 31, Station 4-9 was dispatched to assist the Gap Fire Company (Station 4-2) on a reported dwelling fire in the 5400 block of Buena Vista Road in Salisbury Township.\

Deputy 4-9 (J. Beyer) was the first arriving offer on the scene and reported a light smoke condition coming from the home. Engine 4-9-1 was the first arriving fire apparatus, and stretched a handline into the kitchen. Fortunately, the fire had been knocked down by neighbors with fire extinguishers. Units then performed overhaul and ventilated smoke from the home.\

The fire was then placed under control at 7:33, with the final units clearing the scene at 8:06AM.\
