On the evening of Thursday, December 18, hundreds of members of Lancaster County’s Fire, EMS and Law Enforcement communities gathered at the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center in Lititz to help grant one young girls Christmas wish. \

Four year old Hannah Garman was diagnosed in late October 2008 with a rare and aggressive cancerous brain tumor called glioblastoma multiforme. So far Hannah has had 2 surgeries to remove the tumors. She is in therapy to work on her walking, which has been affected by the tumors. She also has frequent headaches from the pressure on the brain. Hannah is on steroids to help with the inflammation, which is causing her to gain weight rapidly. The doctors have given Hannah 2-3 months to live without treatment and approximately 11 months with radiation.\
\
Hannah’s Christmas wish is to receive Christmas Cards. So far thousands of people have sent cards. On December 18th, a convoy of 89 fire trucks & over 40 police-rescue-smaller vehicles departed the hospital and traveled to meet Hannah Garman and her family at the Lititz Area Mennonite School to deliver thousands of cards and gifts to Hannah. The Salisbury Township Fire Company was proud to send Squad 4-9 to assist in the convoy. \
