At 11:04AM on Saturday, February 15, Engine 49-2 & Tanker 49 were dispatched as part of the first alarm assignment to assist the Intercourse Fire Company (Station 44) on a dwelling fire in the 3800 block of Old Philadelphia Pike in Leacock Township.
Safety Officer 49 (Lantz) was in the area and notified Lancaster County Communications of a working fire. Chief 44 (Diener) arrived and requested the second alarm be dispatched.
Engine 49-1 was dispatched as part of the second alarm. Station 49 Fire Police were dispatched to assist with closing Old Philadelphia Pike around the fire scene. Squad 49-1 also responded to the alarm. Tanker 49 was placed in water supply operations, Squad 49-1 assisted with traffic control, while the Engine companies assisted at the scene with manpower.
The final units cleared the scene at 2:55PM.
