Thank you for your support at the annual Chicken BBQ!

On Saturday, May 19th, the Salisbury Township Fire Company #1 held it’s annual Chicken Barbecue. Over 2000 halves of chicken were cooked, and 1400 dinners were prepared by volunteers on Friday evening and Saturday morning. \

Starting at 2:00 AM, the first of the chicken was placed on the barbecue pits, and by 7:00 AM the first chicken was coming off the pits and packaged for sale. The last of the chicken was brought off of the pits by 3:00 PM.\

By 11:00 AM, the first customers were in line and purchasing their meals. Customers had the option of purchasing just a half chicken or a chicken dinner which included a half chicken, baked potato, roll, applesauce, chips, dessert and drink. Most purchased the dinners.\

Proceeds will benefit the Fire Company, and go towards general upkeep of our equipment and property.\
