At 12:26 PM on Monday, December 16, Engine 49-1 and Ambulance 49 were dispatched to assist the Martin’s Corner Fire Company (34) on a dwelling fire in the 3200 block of Compass Road (Route 10) in West Caln Township.
Units from Wagontown (35), Honey Brook (33),Twin Valley (69), Keystone Valley (8), Brandywine Hospital (93), & Westwood EMS (144) were also dispatched.
First arriving unit Engine 33-5 arrived with a working kitchen fire, and commenced an aggressive interior attack. Engine 49-1 was the second unit in the driveway and prepared to supply 33-5.
Thanks to the efforts of 33-5’s crew the fire damage was kept mainly to the kitchen, with smoke damage to the remainder of the home.
Ambulance 49 was released from the fire scene to handle a second EMS call in West Caln Township
