Lancaster County Line-of-Duty death

The Officers and Members of the Salisbury Township Fire Company wish to extend our deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters at the Lancaster Township Fire Department(Station 6-6) on the sudden Line Of Duty death of Lieutenant Keith Rankin on Sunday morning, September 25, 2011.\

Along with other members of the LTFD, Lieutenant Rankin was participating in a fire training exercise at the Lancaster County Firemens Association burn building on Pequea Lane in West Lampeter Township when he was struck ill. Despite immediate care, Lieutenant Rankin never recovered.\

Lieutenant Rankin leaves behind his wife, and two stepdaughters; he also served as a law enforcement officer with the City of Lancaster.
