Station 4-9 begins Good Friday with 2 calls in just over an hour

A windy and cold Good Friday started out early for the White Horse volunteers.\

At 6:42AM, Ambulance 4-9 and Tanker 4-9 were both dispatched as part of the second alarm assignment for the 200 block of Osceola Mill Road in Leacock Township to assist Station 4-4 (Intercourse FC) on a working house fire with confirmed persons trapped inside. The house had a large volume of fire coming from three sides when the first units arrived on the scene.\

Upon arriving, Tanker 4-9 dumped one load of water and proceeded down the street to the Pequea Creek to refill. Ambulance 4-9 staged the ambulance at the end of the driveway, and the crew proceeded into the scene to assist the other EMS units at the scene. Unfortunately, two subjects were found deceased inside the home. The fire is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall’s office. We wish to extend our sincere condolences to the victim’s families in this time of loss.\
