Passing of a longtime area Fire Service leader

On Monday, November 28, 2016, another long time local Fire Chief passed away. Past Fire Chief William R. L. Winters, Sr. of the former Atglen Fire Company (Station 26) passed away at Harrison Senior Living in Christiana. Chief Winters served as Fire Chief at Atglen for 47 years until Atglen merged with the Pomeroy and Parkesburg Fire Companies to form the Keystone Valley Fire Department. We would like to extend our condolences to the Winters Family and Chief Winters' friends and fellow firefighters in this time of loss. Thank You Chief for your years of service to Chester and Lancaster Counties.
