Members complete new radio training
By Firefighter/EMT Christopher Eno
January 4, 2016
On the evening of January 4, Fire & EMS members gathered at Station 49 to train on, and use, the new Harris portables provided to us by the County of Chester.
Earlier in the day, Chester County switched to their new Harris P25 Phase II 700/800 Mhz radio system, from the old 15+ year old EF Johnson radio 800Mhz system.
Members were shown the basic operations of the radios themselves and procedures to be used when responding to Fire & EMS incidents in Chester County.
Each of our units received a new Harris portable radio to be used for communications in Chester County.
