June 10, 2015

We are saddened at the loss of a friend and mentor to many of us in the Eastern Lancaster County Fire & EMS community.

Harold Connor lost his brave and hard fought fight to Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, early Tuesday, June 10th.

Over the span of his career, Harold served as a volunteer Firefighter/Paramedic with the Liberty Fire Company of New Holland (now Garden Spot Fire Rescue), as a volunteer Paramedic with the New Holland Ambulance Association, and as a career Paramedic with Warwick Community Ambulance and Ephrata Community Hospital (now Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital).

The Officers and Members of the Salisbury Township Fire Company #1 extend our heartfelt condolences to Harold's family and friends in this time of sorrow.
